Contenders ARE YOU READY!!

Hi Everyone!!
The Mr South Africa 2011 is in full swing; it was with a very BIG bang that I realised yesterday what exactly is expected from the judges, and what it would probably entitle to carry the title of Mr South Africa.
To everyone who doesn’t know what Mr South Africa is about, all the semi-finalists have to raise funds for the official Mr South Africa charity, you can read more about the charity at http://www.chrysalisfoundation.co.za/.  I will be organising a fund raising event for this charity, if there is anyone who would like to assist with the fund raiser please feel free to contact me, also as semi-finalists we are expected to do community work and market ourselves to get media coverage for our events, these are just some of the tasks which the top 50 will have to try and accomplish before end of November 2010.
Well, I have been thinking nonstop for the last 24 hours what I would like to do to make a difference!! This morning at the gym I was listening to a song from Linkin Park “What I've Done” and I realised that it doesn’t matter how big or small the changes are that you are trying to make, what matters is that you take action and do something, lots of people talk about making a difference, there is however a very small group who actually take action.

The LEAD SA initiative http://www.leadsa.co.za/ has really been something great, this gives ordinary people the chance to make a difference by changing something small in their own lives and if many people make small changes the end result is going to be enormous, bigger than what any one person can achieve.
My goal in the race for Mr South Africa 2011 will be to take action; get involved; and make a difference!!
I really love my country and think it is one of the most beautiful places in the world; sadly very few people take the time to see what this country holds in store.  I am very lucky because I have to travel a lot to do my work, for as long as I am a Mr South Africa contender I would like to show the people of South Africa the beauty of our great country.
Today I visited Groblersdal; the picture was taken at Loskop Dam.
